Healthy treats for Labrador Retrievers can be similar to humans in a way. They enjoy apples and carrots and potatoes. You should stay away from citrus fruits because the acid doesn’t always work the best with their digestive tract. Also you want to stay away from giving them small bones, i.e. chicken bones. Chicken bones can splinter in their digestive tract causing a blockage in their intestines. Also think of giving your Lab treats that are low in fat and not highly processed. Dogs are very alike to humans and if you feed them high fatty treats, they can gain excess weight, especially if they are not getting adequate exercise. Changing a Lab’s treats from packaged/processed treats to a dry cereal such as Cherios can help with weight loss and eliminating excess fat from their diet. If you have time to make homemade treats that is always an option too. Be aware, if possible, of any allergies your Lab has.
